Mr. Tushar Mehta, learned Additional Solicitor General, appearing for the alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4 has invited our attention to the separate affidavits filed by the alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4, tendering unconditional and unqualified apology for not being able to comply with the directions issued by this Court vide judgment and order dated 01.12.2015, passed in Civil Appeal Nos. 13940-13944 of 2015, within the period specified in the judgment and order and requested this Court to pardon each one the alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4, who are personally present in the Court, explaining the delay caused in complying with the directions issued by this Court.

1. Mr. Tushar Mehta, learned Additional Solicitor General, appearing for the alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4 has invited our attention to the separate affidavits filed by the alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4, tendering unconditional and unqualified apology for not being able to comply with the directions issued by this Court vide judgment and order dated 01.12.2015, passed in Civil Appeal Nos. 13940-13944 of 2015, within the period specified in the judgment and order and requested this Court to pardon each one the alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4, who are personally present in the Court, explaining the delay caused in complying with the directions issued by this Court. He further submits that plots have been allotted to each one of the original appellants (in C.A. Nos. 13940-13944 of 2015) after due consultation with them. Mr. Jaideep Gupta, learned senior counsel, appearing on behalf of the contempt petitioners concurs with the submission made by the learned Additional Solicitor General and submits that the directions complained of in the contempt petitions in respect of contempt petitioners and other original appellants before this Court are complied with. Ms. Shobha, learned counsel for the contempt petitioner in Contempt Petition (C) No. 60 of 2016, who also appeared for one Chotu Ram, appellant in C.A. No. 13941 of 2015, however, submits that though she has not filed any contempt petition in C.A. No. 13941 of 2015, seeks liberty to approach this Court in case of non-compliance of the directions issued by this Court vide judgment and order dated 01.12.2015 qua Chotu Ram. Statement of learned Additional Solicitor General and learned counsel for the contempt petitioners is taken on record.


 


2. Accepting the averments made in the affidavits filed by alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4 and the submission made by the learned Additional Solicitor General, with regard to the full compliance of the directions complained of in respect of all original appellants (contempt petitioners herein), these contempt proceedings are closed and alleged contemnors/respondent nos. 1 to 4 are exonerated from the order of non-compliance, which amounts to willful disobedience of this Court’s order.


 


3. Pending application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of.
