1. Heard Mr. Colin Gonsalves, learned senior counsel for the petitioner; Mr. Arun Bhardwaj, learned Additional Advocate General, State of Haryana; and Mr. Mukul Rohtagi, learned senior counsel appearing for the caveator who is a party before the High Court of Punjab & Haryana in Civil Writ Petition No. 859 of 2017.

2. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, we are only inclined to pass the following order :

(a) The cost imposed by the High Court is made easy.

(b) It is the stand of the petitioner that a similar issue is pending before this Court in W.P.(Crl.) No. 148 of 2012. The High Court shall take note of the similarity of the issue pending before this Court, after hearing learned counsel for the parties.

3. We may hasten to add that we have not expressed any opinion with regard to the similarity of the issue and it shall be open to the parties to raise the same before the High Court from their perspective.

4. With the aforesaid directions, the Special Leave Petitions stand disposed of.
