Order

1. Learned Additional Solicitor General says that the process of updating the information online is proceeding at a fast pace and he expects it to be completed very soon. He says that the names of the persons in position, for example, members of the Juvenile Justice Boards, members of the Child Welfare Committees, etc. will also be placed on the website of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India so that it will be easy to contact the persons, wherever necessary.

2. Learned Additional Solicitor General says that the assistance of the State Governments and the Union Territories is required in this project. We direct the Secretary in the Ministry/Department of Women and Children in all the State Governments and the Union Territories to render all necessary assistance to the Union of India for updating the information and keeping it up-to-date from time to time.

3. NALSA has filed a copy of the Training Module for Legal Services Lawyers and Probation Officers attached to the Juvenile Justice Boards under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

4. Ms. Indu Malhotra, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of NALSA says that this Report has been prepared on the basis of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2007, but she says that NALSA is willing to conduct some pilot training programmes to ascertain the usefulness of the Training Module and also to subsequently bring it in line with the new Rules, as and when framed by the Government of India.
