1. Application for exemption from filing official translation is allowed.

2. Issue notice to respondent-State of Kerala also with a view to examine the question as to whether any case is made out for enhancement of the sentence awarded by the courts below to the petitioner having regard to the nature of offence committed by the petitioner and the sentence awarded to him by the court below, returnable within four weeks.

3. By order dated 30th July, 2018, Hon’ble Chamber Judge has granted exemption to the petitioner from surrendering. We are inclined to recall order dated 30th July, 2018. As a result, the petitioner is directed to surrender within seven days to undergo the jail sentence awarded to him failing which the petitioner shall be arrested immediately by the police authorities.

4. Let a copy of this order be sent to the jurisdictional Chief Judicial Magistrate and the police station concerned.
