1. Heard Mr. R. Basant, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner and Group Captain Karan Singh Bhati, learned counsel appearing for the respondent/Tribunal.
2. Having heard the learned counsel on both the sides, we are of the view that the petitioner should go back to the Tribunal and tender an unconditional apology, both in writing as well as orally, in addition to what has been tendered before this Court. We do not find any reason why the Tribunal will not consider such remorseful conduct of the petitioner.
3. Accordingly, we dispose of these special leave petitions with a direction to the petitioner to approach the Tribunal within a period of one month from today with an affidavit tendering his unconditional apology for his inappropriate conduct. He shall also tender open apology before the Tribunal orally.
4. We request the Tribunal to take a call on such remorseful expressions of the petitioner and pass appropriate further orders in the matter of proceedings initiated against the petitioner under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.
5. We make it clear that the orders passed by the Tribunal and the impugned orders passed by the High Court dated 15.12.2017 and 21.12.2017 shall not stand in the way of the Tribunal passing fresh orders, as above.
6. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
