1. It is submitted by Mr. Ambar Qamaruddin, learned counsel for the petitioner that he has received status report for the States of Assam, Bihar, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Uttarakhand, the Union Territories of Puducherrry, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Island.

 

2. As far as the State of U.P. is concerned, learned counsel submits that he has already filed a copy of the status report. Let a copy of the same be supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

 

3. Learned counsel appearing for the States of Punjab, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh, submit that they have already supplied a copy of the report to the learned counsel for the petitioner and shall file the same today itself.

 

4. As far as the State of West Bengal is concerned, learned counsel submits that he has been newly appointed and will file the status report within four weeks hence.

 

5. As far as the NCT of Delhi and Union Territory of Dadar & Nagar Haveli are concerned, learned counsel undertake to file the status report within four weeks hence. If the same is not filed within four weeks, it shall be inferred that they are not interested to comply with the order and the officers shall be held responsible.

 

6. As far as the other States are concerned, four weeks’ time is granted to file the status report, after serving a copy of the same on the learned counsel for the petitioner.

 

7. It is hereby made clear that no extension shall be granted on the next date of hearing.

 

8. Let the matter be listed on 24th November, 2015.
