The Order of the court was delivered by
Order
1. It is stated by all the learned counsel who are present on behalf of internet service providers/intermediaries that the proposals agreed to in the Report of the Committee submitted on 06.07.2017 in this Court will be complied with in letter and spirit within a period of 30 days from today.
2. We expect the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India to ensure compliance including any steps that are required to be taken by the Government of India.
3. We are told that the next meeting on the subject is to take place on 23rd August, 2018. The Ministry of Home Affairs is at liberty to have a meeting even before that date and as frequently as possible to ensure that the recommendations/proposals on which there is a consensus are complied with within 30 days from today.
4. The statement made on behalf of learned counsel for the respective clients is taken on record.
5. List the matter on 27th August, 2018 at 2.00 pm.
