The Order of the court was delivered by
Order
1. The concerned officers from the States of Haryana, Jharkhand, Manipur and Meghalaya are present in Court today pursuant to our order dated 27.03.2018.
2. The States of Haryana and Jharkhand have filed their affidavits but no affidavit has been filed by the States of Manipur and Meghalaya.
3. In any event, we expect that by 10th July, 2018 i.e. the next date of hearing, a policy will by prepared by these States as well as by all other States in terms of Rule 11 and Rule 15 of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of States of Assam and Nagaland say that they have still received no instructions.
5. Under these circumstances, we direct the Secretary, Urban Development Department of these States to be present in the Court on 10th July, 2018.
6. The officers present today from the States of Haryana, Jharkhand, Manipur and Meghalaya need not be present on the next date of hearing.
