The Judgement of the Court was delivered by

1. Delay in SLP (C) No. 21562 of 2015 is condoned.
2. Leave granted.
3. The Industrial Tribunal found that the appellants were terminated from service in violation of the provisions of Section 25-F of the Industrial Disputes Act. However, taking note of the lapse of time, instead of reinstatement, compensation was fixed. According to the High Court, the amount of compensation at Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand only) was found as appropriate.
4. Having regard to the fact that the appellants have worked for about five years and that the termination is of the year 1989 and further taking note of the prolonged litigation, we are of the view that the interest of justice would be served, if the amount of compensation is fixed at Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh Only) to each of the appellants.
5. Accordingly, the amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only) shall be payable to each of the appellants as full and final settlement towards all the claims including the claim on interest. We make it clear that order is passed in the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case.
6. The appeals are allowed in the aforesaid terms.
