This appeal arises out of the judgment dated 20.8.2004 in CWJC No. 3819 of 1993 of the High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi.

By an order dated 14 January 2016, this Court while dealing with the paucity of infrastructure in the consumer fora, constituted a three Member Committee consisting of:

The present appeals raise two important questions which arise under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the “Code”).

The High Court of Karnataka by a judgment dated 12 July 2011 reversed a decision of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal awarding compensation to the appellant in the amount of Rs. 8,66,000/- with interest @ 7% per annum.

Heard Mr. Mukul Rohatgi, learned senior counsel along with Mr. Anupam Lal Das, learned counsel for the applicant and learned counsel for the respondents.

The present appeal arises from a judgment of the High Court of Delhi dated 5 October 2016 by which an order of the Trial Court allowing an application filed by the appellant for amendment of the written statement was set aside.

We have heard the learned counsel for the applicant who seeks to intervene/implead in the present proceedings.
