1. Delay condoned.
2. The controversy relates to preventive detention.
3. The order was passed by the High Court on 27.08.2018. The respondent would thus be at large for more than six months while the detention period was one year.
4. The lethargy in approaching this Court has made this position practically infrucutous though we would have some reservations on the principles sought to be pronounced vide the impugned order. We are, thus, not inclined to entertain this special leave petition but make it clear that the impugned judgment would not be treated as a precedent setting out any proposition of law.
5. The special leave petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observations.
6. Pending applications shall also stand disposed of.
