1. Mr. P.S. Patwalia, learned Additional Solicitor General has sought time on 22.07.2016 to take instructions and to make his submission as to the willingness of the Government of India and for formulating a suitable policy/scheme for better working conditions and matters relating thereto for a large number of porters working with the Indian Army. He has today filed before us a draft of interim rules regulating terms and conditions for employment of civilian porters in the Indian Army and submits that given three weeks’ time the draft rules may be formulated into a proper scheme.
2. Mr. Bhim Singh, learned senior counsel for the petitioner has no objection if the matter is adjourned for three weeks to enable the Government of India to place on record the scheme proposed by it.
3. List again on 22nd August, 2016.
4. Needful shall be done in the meantime.
