Order

1. Delay condoned.

2. We are not inclined to interfere with the verdict of conviction of the petitioner under Sections 392 and 394 I.P.C. and also the quantum of sentence of imprisonment imposed upon the petitioner-accused.

3. Mr. Anish Kumar Gupta, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, has submitted that the petitioner has been convicted in few other cases and the petitioner’s prayer for concurrent running of sentence has not been considered by the High Court. In this regard, he has placed reliance on the judgment of this Court in Benson v. State of Kerala1.

4. In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner shall serve notice upon the standing counsel for the Government of N.C.T. of Delhi.

5. List the matter after summer vacation.
