1. Perused the status report dated 02.06.2015 filed in the Court by the Superintendent of Police, Rohtak, Haryana, which is taken on record. Paragraph 8 of the said report reads as under:—

“8. It is further submitted that, in reference to the DO letters written by the answering respondent to the SPs concerned regarding verification of 260 suspected mobile numbers, report of 50 mobile numbers/SIM cards has been received till date. Out of these 50 mobile numbers, 22 mobile numbers/SIM cards were found to be registered on fake identities. The addresses of 23 mobile numbers/SIM cards were verified and their verification reports were also received from the concerned SPs according to which it has been found that out of 23 numbers/SIM cards holders, relatives of 07 mobile numbers/SIM cards holders appeared in AIPMT-2015. They need to join investigation. The remaining five mobile numbers/SIM cards could not be verified yet due to technical issues. Further reminders were also sent to concerned SPs regarding pending verifications and their response is still awaited. It is further submitted that a total of 98 mobile numbers belonging to the State of Haryana were found to be suspected apart from the 260 mentioned above. Out of these, 40 mobile numbers were verified in which 30 were found to be genuine and the statement of SIM card holders were also recorded by the Investigating Officers. It is pertinent to mention here that 10 mobile numbers/SIM cards were found to be issued on fake identities and the verification of remaining 58 mobile numbers/SIM card holders is still under process.”

2. It appears that investigation is still in progress and the beneficiaries of the alleged leakage of question paper are still being identified.

3. In the circumstances, we allow one more weeks’ time to file further status report regarding the progress of investigation to know as to the number of examinees benefited by the alleged leakage of the question paper.

4. List these matters on 10.06.2015.

5. Till that date, that is, 10.06.2015 only, further steps in the examination process shall remain stayed.
