1. Delay condoned.

2. Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners and Mr. K.V. Viswanathan, learned Senior Counsel have urged that the first respondent has already been paid his retiral dues following his superannuation. However, by the finding of the learned Single Judge, which has been confirmed by the Division Bench in a Letters Patent Appeal, the first petitioner is amenable to the jurisdiction of the High Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

3. Issue notice returnable within four weeks.

4. In the meantime, there shall be stay of the impugned judgment and order dated 06th April, 2018 of the High Court.

5. Application for exemption from filing certified copy of the impugned judgment is allowed.
