1. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already undergone till date nine years of actual imprisonment and he continues to be in jail.
2. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, we are not inclined to interfere with the impugned order passed by the High Court.
3. However, we request the High Court to dispose of the appeal on merits in accordance with law preferable within a period of one year as an outer limit.
4. It is with these observations, the special leave petition stands dismissed.
