1. Having heard learned counsel for the appellants, we are of the view that the impugned judgment dated 13.07.20181 needs to be set aside. We set it aside and direct the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission to treat the complaint, as amended, that has been filed, as a complaint filed on behalf of all 339 persons and to proceed on merits.

2. It will be open for the respondents to give their say on the merits of each of the 339 complainants.

3. The Commission will decide the matter within a period of six months from today.

4. The Civil Appeals are disposed of accordingly.
