On the last date of hearing, i.e., 3-10-2018¹, Mr. Rahul Mehra, learned counsel for the Delhi Government had graciously submitted that for tiding over the present sanitation crisis, an amount of Rs. 500 crores will be released within two days without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the Delhi Government.

The Order of the court was delivered by

Order

1. On the last date of hearing, i.e., 3-10-2018¹, Mr. Rahul Mehra, learned counsel for the Delhi Government had graciously submitted that for tiding over the present sanitation crisis, an amount of Rs. 500 crores will be released within two days without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the Delhi Government.

2. It is stated by learned counsel for the Delhi Government that the amount has been released.

3. We had expected the Central Government to graciously reciprocate the offer of the Delhi Government on humanitarian grounds and learned Additional Solicitor General sought time to take instructions.

4. Unfortunately and tragically, the Central Government has now filed an affidavit that it is not prepared to make any payment at all.

5. List the matter on 24^th October, 2018.
